How will this project meet the needs of older adults that prefer single-level living?

Some housing types, such as cottage clusters and accessory dwelling units, might be more likely to be single level. If single level options are less feasible to build, we could explore incentives with City Council for housing types that promote visitability and accessibility. Some examples of incentives from other cities include allowing an extra unit on the site if it’s barrier-free, or allowing the building to be larger if it provides a ground floor accessible unit.
