BEAVERTON, Ore. – The City of Beaverton is excited to invite community members to save-the-date and tune-in for Mayor Lacey Beaty’s annual State of the City address.
The virtual event is open to the community and will premiere Tuesday, March 29 at 12 p.m. via the city’s social media channels and website at www.BeavertonOregon.gov/SOTC with a transcript of recorded remarks.
During the event, Mayor Beaty will share Beaverton’s recent accomplishments and highlight the city’s upcoming priorities.
“2021 was an extraordinary year in many ways,” said Mayor Beaty. “As a community, we’ve endured losses and learned how to keep going; faced challenges and adapted to new ways of being and doing; and we are still working towards recovery as we grow our resilience. I’m excited to share with you this year’s theme for State of the City: Beaverton Voices.”
Major topics include Beaverton’s ongoing response to COVID-19, business recovery, community partnerships, addressing homelessness, major developments and public safety.
The event will be followed by an opportunity for live media interviews to further discuss Mayor Beaty’s plans and hopes for Beaverton.
