Legal Resources
There are many legal and regulatory requirements for a new or growing business.
Although the City of Beaverton cannot offer legal advice or assistance, the Lewis & Clark Law School's Small Business Legal Clinic (SBLC) may be able to help. The SBLC provides business legal advice to low-income new and emerging businesses, primarily those owned by women, minorities, and recent immigrants.
Covered issues include:
- Business financing
- Contract drafting and review
- Debt problems, including credit reports
- Employment counseling
- Selecting the right type of business
- Forming a new business
- Intellectual property
- Regulatory compliance
