Legal Information for Businesses

Legal Resources

There are many legal and regulatory requirements for a new or growing business.

Although the City of Beaverton cannot offer legal advice or assistance, the Lewis & Clark Law School's Small Business Legal Clinic (SBLC) may be able to help. The SBLC provides business legal advice to low-income new and emerging businesses, primarily those owned by women, minorities, and recent immigrants.

Covered issues include:

  • Business financing
  • Contract drafting and review
  • Debt problems, including credit reports
  • Employment counseling
  • Selecting the right type of business
  • Forming a new business
  • Intellectual property
  • Regulatory compliance

Contact the Lewis and Clark Law School Small Business Legal Clinic for more information, or phone 503-768-6940.
