Membership Requirements for the Planning Commission
There are seven regular members. City Council may appoint one or more alternates in addition to the regular members. Regular and alternate members must be City residents. The alternate with most seniority shall move into the regular position that is being vacated and serve out the term of the position being vacated. All members, including alternates, are expected to read all of the materials related to their meetings, many of which can be very long and technical.
All members should be willing to dedicate many hours of preparation and meeting time each week. Meetings begin at 6:30 pm and will not exceed 10:30 pm unless authorized by the Commission.
