Characteristics: Foliage is dense and reddish on leaf margins in early autumn, yellow-green in some areas. This tree has an upright, uniform growth habit, strong angles of attachment, and no seeds.

Negative Features: Occasionally susceptible to aphids and scale that can cause honeydew drip and sooty mold. Surface roots can cause problems with sidewalks.

Uses: Good for all street situations where room allows on arterial, collector and residential streets. Suitable for planting along boulevards.

Comments: Celebration is a new and improved hybrid that is a cross between Red Maple and Silver Maple. It promises to be an excellent tree for use in Beaverton.
