Characteristics: Fall colors range from bright pink to red. Green leaves are sprinkled with uneven golden patches.

Negative Features: Surface roots can cause problems with sidewalks. This tree may break up in ice storms and periods of drought. Fruit can be quite messy. It is a large tree suitable for boulevards.

Uses: Good for all street situations where room allows on arterial, collector, and residential streets

Comments: Golden Sweetgum stays smaller and grows more slowly than the species.
