Characteristics: Redmond Linden has loose clusters of fragrant yellowish-white flowers in June or July. It has larger leaves than other Lindens and yellow fall foliage. Its new growth has crimson twigs.

Negative Features: Occasionally susceptible to aphids and scale that can cause honeydew drip and sooty mold problems. Surface roots can cause problems with sidewalks.

Uses: Good for all street situations where room allows on arterials, collector, and residential streets. Suitable for planting along boulevards.

Comments: Redmond is a good shade tree for touch urban conditions. Basically, this is the same tree as #48, Tilia euchlora 'Redmond'.
