Growth Rate: Fast

Characteristics: Foliage is green turning bright yellow in fall, and it has small flowers that develop winged seeds.

Negative Features: Occasionally susceptible to aphids and scale that can cause honeydew drip and sooty mold problems. Surface roots can cause problems with sidewalks.

Uses: Good for all street situations where room allows on arterial, collector, and residential streets.

Comments: Cavalier grows smaller than other Norway Maple cultivars. It is a good substitute for Emerald Queen, #46, and Cleveland, #47, and other green-leafed, yellow fall colored Norway Maples.
