Characteristics: Foliage is yellow in fall. This tree is seedless and tolerates wet soil and severe cold.

Negative Features: Foliage burns in hot, dry winds. Can break up in ice-storms. Surface roots can cause problems with sidewalks.

Uses: Good for all street situations where room allows on arterial, collector, and residential streets. Suitable for planting along boulevards.

Comments: Bergeson is a good substitute for Summit or Patmore, #29 and #31.
