Characteristics: Leaves are a dark and lustrous green. Bark is deeply ridged and furrowed.

Negative Features: Some consider the acorn fruit a nuisance.

Uses: Good for all street situations where room allows on arterial, collector, and residential streets.

Comments: Although the Sawtooth Oak is suitable for use along boulevards, it is not often planted.
