This area is poised to serve as a major component of Beaverton's downtown as The Rise Central is under construction. More development in the Beaverton Central District, including the Beaverton Center for the Arts, Cedar Hills Crossing redevelopment and BG Food Cartel (food cart pod), will be vital to redevelopment in the area. The BURA only investment in a district parking garage will nurture further development.
The BURA allocation of funds for the five years is:
- FY17-18 = $5,758,750
- FY18-19 = $11,463,750
- FY19-20 = $6,123,750
- FY20-21 = $568,750
- FY21-22 = $1,481,250
