175th Ave Roadway Improvements

Project Description: 

Over the course of development on the west and east sides of the road, 175th Avenue from Scholls Ferry to 500 feet south of Alvord, will be widened to two travel lanes in each direction with a center turn lane. Additional improvements include continuous bicycle and pedestrian facilities, street lighting, and storm drainage upgrades. A traffic signal at the new high school's entrance will also be installed. This segment of SW 175th Ave is a county road located within the City of Beaverton. The city will pay 33% and WASHCO 67% of total project costs. WASHCO will be responsible for project design, acquisition of right of way and construction. City will participate in project design and plan review.

Project Status:

  • FY15-16: City and WASHCO complete IGA. 
  • FY16-17: Completed design by HHPRI. Road construction is scheduled to begin in 2017 and be complete 6/10/2018 (subject to change). 

Funding for FY 16-17 is to be determined based upon final reconciliation of project expenses and TSDC/TDT credits. City is required to pay its share after construction is complete and in installments up to 10 years.
