LONGEST DAY OF THE YEAR: A Summer Solstice Celebration

Portland Cello Project with their instruments posing for a publicity photo.

Living in the northwest, we develop a unique relationship with light and long for those summer days when the sun seems to never set. In this spirit, we are teaming up with the Beaverton Farmers Market to bring you a musical experience that celebrates the longest day of the year. Join us as we welcome the nationally-recognized performing, recording and educational group Portland Cello Project to the stage at City Park. Featuring a rotating cast of cellists and musicians, their performances are known to bring the cello into unexpected performance spaces, introduce their audiences to music they would not normally associate with the instrument and build bridges between different musical communities through education and collaboration. Come down to fill your basket with some Farmers Market bounty, and then linger to listen to the sounds of summer. This event is free and open to all ages.

Visit Portland Cello Project, and get excited to celebrate the longest day of the year with us.
