Commercial Rates

The City Council approved a new rate structure and package of services at its October 17, 2005, meeting. Business rates are based on a cost of service/disposal model, and depending on the level of service, some rates will have a small increase and many will see a decrease in rate.

The chart below shows the various rates and service levels available. Contact your hauler or the City for additional information.

Compacted Containers
  • Rate is 2.25 times the loose container rate (from above chart).
  • Are based on containers from one to four yards owned and maintained by the customer.
  • The weight per yard shall not exceed 500 pounds.

  • Actual Disposal Cost is rate charges at a Metro-approved landfill or transfer station.
  • Fees include the operating margin and franchise fee.
  • An additional charge of $1.13 per mile, if round trip to landfill/transfer station is more than 24 miles.
Demurrage:
10-yard or 20 yard box:  per day after 48-hours $5.70
30-yard box:  per day after 48-hours $7.55
40 yard box:  per day after 48-hours $9.45
