Roll-Carts

Beaverton’s garbage and recycling service includes weekly collection of garbage, yard debris, recycling and glass—all collected on the same day. To find out your collection day, contact your hauler. If you don’t know who your hauler is, go to Who’s My Hauler.

Recycling is Easy in Beaverton!

Roll-Carts

Beaverton’s seven franchised garbage and recycling haulers delivered recycling roll-carts on March 1, 2006, as part of a new recycling program. Other communities with roll-cart recycling programs report 10% or more increases in recycling volumes. These efforts support the region’s recovery goal to divert 64% of the materials from reaching landfills by 2009.

Benefits to You and Your Neighborhood Include

  • Cleaner Neighborhoods! Cart lids keep materials dry and in the cart, so they do not blow around the neighborhood.
  • Double the recycling capacity of the red bins.
  • Increased volume means fewer trips to the curb per month! You only need to set it out when the cart is full.
  • Wheels and a handle make the cart easier to move to the curb.
  • Less sorting:  everything except glass and motor oil are mixed together.
  • Expanded plastics recycling!
  • One container means just one trip to the curb.
  • Increased efficiency helps maintain low monthly bills.
