IT coordinates voice, data, spatial analysis (GIS), Internet and Intranet, image and video at the three major city locations, City Hall, Operations and the Library. The City has nearly 500 PCs at the three sites (plus minor subsites). All sites are linked via speeds of 1 Gigabit. The major network operating system is Windows 2003/2008 R2 server with Windows 7/XP clients. Our major database engine is SQL2008 and the deparment develops internal applications using Visual Studio 2008.

IT is responsible for the procurement policies regarding information processing equipment and operating software. The department also provides Web design, system design, systems analysis, programming support, maps and spatial analysis applications, systems administration and in-house technical/user support to the city and its employees.
