Visual Artists Invited to Apply for 2017 Beaverton Arts Mix!

BEAVERTON, Ore. – The City of Beaverton is now accepting applications from 2D and 3D visual artists in Oregon for the 2017 Beaverton Arts Mix! (BAM!), which will be held Oct. 5-8 at Beaverton City Library, 12375 SW Fifth St. Monetary prizes up to $500 and ribbons will be awarded.

Entries are due on Monday, July 24, at 11 p.m. Pacific time. Entries will be juried by a panel of local arts specialists. Artists will be notified of acceptance or non-acceptance by Friday, Aug. 25. After acceptance, artists will receive guidelines on delivering work to the event.

For more information and to apply, see the call to artists at Artists may submit up to four works for consideration. There is no entry fee or exhibit fee for participants, and the city does not collect a commission on art sales during the event. All artwork must be for sale. Work previously accepted to BAM! will not be considered. Students are encouraged to apply.

BAM! events include an artist reception on Friday, Oct. 6, and free quick draw and chalk draw on Saturday, Oct. 7. A full list of programming will be available in September. For more information on the event, visit
