Beaverton’s 100% volunteer production in our own community. Through the support of the Beaverton Arts Commission, the Beaverton Civic Theatre has come alive. 2009 marked the inaugural season of Beaverton Civic Theatre. Their mission is to bring, “the community together on stage, behind the scenes and in the audience.”

2016 Season


The Philadelphia Story
In this Broadway hit, Tracy Lord is the headstrong and spoiled daughter of the privileged Philadelphia Lords. Divorced from C.K. Dexter Haven, she is engaged to a successful young snob. A society weekly sends a reporter and female photographer to cover the wedding arrangements. Tracy finds herself growing interested in the reporter Mike Connor, and following the pre-wedding bash, they take a moonlight swim and are then surprised by Dexter and the fiancé. The following morning her intended smugly forgives her, enraging Tracy, who breaks off the engagement. Connor offers to marry her, but will she say yes?

With his resourceful servant Passepartout, Fogg sets out to circle the globe in and unheard-of 80 days. But his every step is dogged by a detective who thinks he's a robber on the run. Danger, romance and comic surprises abound in this whirlwind of a show.

Theatre for Young Audiences

Beaverton Civic Theatre is proud to announce the introduction of their Theatre for Young Audiences series for the 2016 season. The goal of this program is to provide an affordable way for families to experience live theatre together. This program is in partnership with the Beaverton City Library’s Youth Services Division and offers a $5 ticket price for all ages.

A comical and family-friendly retelling of the classic tale of bumbling schoolmaster Ichabod Crane, after he moves to Sleepy Hollow, and a town haunted by a headless horseman.

Community Partnership Nights
The opening Friday of each performance offers discounted tickets in partnership with the New Friends of the Beaverton City Library. Ticket is $5 with donation of a new or used book, CD or DVD. Discounted tickets available only at box office, on evening of performance.
