The Beaverton Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) is a group of trained volunteers from the community who assist emergency response personnel during disasters and emergencies. Citizens in the community are trained to cut off utilities, put out small fires, administer first aid, search for victims, organize themselves, and collect disaster intelligence to support first responder efforts.
Target audience: General public (business owners, community groups, family members, friends, and other similar groups) Training calendar: Training is usually held during the spring and fall. Training locations:Beaverton Community Center and the Tualatin Valley Fire and Rescue Training Facility (Sherwood) Typical training days and times:
Seven consecutive Wednesdays from 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm
One Saturday graduation / evaluation day from 8:00 am - 12:00 noon (on the Saturday following the last Wednesday class)
Special Group Classes
